“Dreary sky, misty mountains, make for a great day to stay in the cabin. Keep on those thick socks to protect you from the cold floor while you make coffee. Then, just get back in bed. It’s the only thing to do on a gray day.”
Being my first winter in Vermont I expected lots of snow, snow covered mountains, white blanketed fields etc. But alas, we've only had a few measurable accumulations, and those always followed by warmth and rain. So much of the winter has just been misty, rainy, gray days which inspired this piece. It also expands on, what I guess I can now call, my Day Series. I opted for a pose that echoes two other pieces I've done, Snow Day and Beach Day.
