“Living in the steamy heat of the jungle, among the animals and abundant flora, he is in his element, free and wild. To them, however, he is a curiosity, a strange one, a misfit. But now one of them is here in his world, and it’s them who are out of place, them who don’t fit in, who he has encountered and who is need of his help. ”
We often seem to treat those who seem out of place in our little circles, who don't act in the expected ways like the rest of us, as a freak or a threat. But it's those individuals who think outside the box, who look at things differently, that spur a society to evolve. We should learn and grow by sharing our differences rather than oppressing and eliminating anyone outside our arbitrary definition of 'proper behavior'.
