Glory of Rome
“As he stood before the imposing figure, the young man’s eyes widened in awe, his gaze tracing the chiseled lines and perfect proportions of the ancient statue, its marble skin glowing with a soft, ethereal light in the museum’s hallowed halls. His own athletic physique seemed to draw inspiration from the masterpiece, as if the beauty and grandeur of the classical nude had awakened a deep appreciation within him for the perfection of the human form.”
As I have mentioned before, working with pastels can be challenging when working on small figures. By making the background blurred it released me from those tine details, but it creates another challenge of making a blur look like what it’s intended to be. In the end the blurred background enhanced to focus of the foreground figures. And ripped jeans are always fun to do.
