I had been wanting to add a "rear view" subject to my Men in Briefs series for quite some time, as Billy had been the only one brave enough to show his derrière. Now along comes Danny with a blend of tough guy lacrosse player, awesome body and clean cut boyish face. One feature I always find fun to draw is a tan line. It’s hard to resist. I like showing the sudden change in skin color (even on black and white pieces) and how shadows and highlights are affected by that change.
