“With the weather outside frightful and the fire inside delightful, is there any better way to enjoy the Night Before Christmas than cuddled up with your sweetie reading ‘A Christmas Carol’?”
Since I was after a cozy Christmas feel, the warm glow of a fireplace seemed essential. I already had the layout with the couple on the couch and the winter scene in the window behind them so I was reluctant to alter what I had. Then I realized that I only needed to show the effect of the fireplace, which is what I wanted and the fireplace itself need not be in view.
