The only sounds he hears are the chirping of birds and the rustling of wind through the trees; the air is damp and mossy and scented of pine and a hint of smoke from the hearth. The floor planks of the small cabin creek beneath his feet. It is a beautiful day. He has no clock to watch, no emails to answer, no newsfeed to fret over, no fashion to be a slave too. It's just him and nature.

I find it strange that we live in a society that is forever developing new technologies to make our lives easier. Instead, why not just live a simpler life?

Well-said. Even though Blackberries, computers, etc. are here to stay, let's hope we never lose touch with what Buck is experiencing in the painting -- and a beautiful painting it is. Thanks Michael for creating it.

Michael, talk about excitment!!!!! This is a man after my own heart. What we think of in our minds you seem to be able to put them all down with a wisk of a brush. Your getting better and better. So proud of what I own of yours and enjoy looking at them daily, hourly and for a lifetime. One more for the records Michael. Hair to perfection. Cheeks to love. A face you can't stop kissing. Thanks for this one.

Michael, You've outdone yourself. This man is perfect. His hairy thighs are to die for. I've mentioned to you before that hair makes the man. It's what separates us from the more daintier of the sexes. Buck is so ruggedly handsome too, even though his entire face is not revealed. It leaves a bit to the imagination or a bit to expand on if you should decide to make Buck the subject of a second work (hint..hint). Maybe we could see his full chest of hair and the rest of his gorgeous legs. Thanks again for keeping our fantasies alive with your great artwork.

Truly handsome fellow, like his face -- great beard & eyes -- perfect build and generous body hair throughout. Who wouldn't want to spend a weekend at a winter lodge with this guy? He adds some coppery life tones to the brown setting. Like the light on the arms and face; in a picture with so many horizontla and vertical lines, the beautiful curves of that lightly furred butt stand out. Woof!
